Bio Cranial System   The Bio Cranial System (BCS) of therapeutics was discovered and developed in the 1970’s and 80’s by Robert Boyd, D.O., a U.K. Registered Osteopath. Although based upon the discovery by Sutherland of the rhythmic Involuntary Mechanism (IVM), the Philosophical principles of Bio Cranial set this System apart from other cranial based understandings. The understandings of the BCS are now incorporated in books, manuals and articles published in professional journals. In the main, they relate to the discovery of a previously unknown level of weakness in the structure of practically everyone, and which goes back to birth and before. This “weakness” is of a specific nature and provides the predisposing, or fertile, ground for a virtually unlimited range of disorders, dysfunctions or illnesses to develop. These may range from “structural” disorders such as sciatica, low back pain, neck and shoulder pain/restrictions through extremity problems such as knee, elbow and ankle injuries, through areas such as female disorders, asthma, fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, colitis, tinnitus, arthritis, sports injuries, prostate, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hay fever, varicosity, skin disorders, hiatus hernia, inguinal hernia and much more.
